2. Data Collection & Processing

VoiceFlow is designed with an enterprise "Zero-Trust" approach. All text-to-speech processing happens locally in your browser.

No Tracking: We do not use tracking pixels to monitor your browsing history.
No Content Uploads: The text you select to be read aloud is processed locally and is never sent to our servers for analysis.
Cloud Syncing: If you log in to a Pro account, your settings and reading history are securely transmitted to `waliyy.net` APIs for synchronization across your devices. This data is fully encrypted and never shared.

3. Local Storage Usage

To provide a personalized experience, VoiceFlow uses the chrome.storage.local API to store data directly on your device:

User Preferences: Your selected narrator voice, reading speed, pitch, and custom dictionary pronunciations.
Authentication Tokens: Secure JWT tokens are stored locally to keep you logged in to the Pro Sync service.

4. Permissions Justification

VoiceFlow requests the following permissions to function natively in Chrome:

tts: Used to synthesize speech natively without requiring external API calls.
contextMenus: Used to add the "Read Selection Aloud" option to your right-click menu.
storage: Used to save your voice and speed settings locally.
activeTab/scripting: Used to create the visual highlight overlay and reader mode on the page you are currently viewing.

5. Third-Party Services

VoiceFlow utilizes the built-in Chrome Text-to-Speech engine. We do not share any user data with third-party analytics, marketing, or advertising companies under any circumstances.
